ORLANDO --
Orlando Christian Prep host the 10th Annual "Showdown in O'Town" presented by Janney Roofing on Friday January 8 and Saturday January 9. This 'Public vs Private Shootout' features matchups between some of the best public and private school girls and boys basketball programs in Central Florida.
The first of three girls basketball games on Friday begins at 5 p.m. with a contest between two MaxPreps.com Top-10 ranked teams in their specific FHSAA classification. 3rd-ranked (2A) City of Life Christian Academy (4-2) takes on 7th-ranked (7A) Oviedo High School (10-0). At 6:30 p.m., the host 15th-ranked (2A) OCP Warriors (7-6) takes on (7A) Hagerty High School (7-7).
The nightcap tips at 8:00 pm featuring a Top-20 contest as 18th-ranked (4A) Bishop Moore Catholic (4-4) goes against 13th-ranked (7A) Colonial High School (6-6).
The boys portion of the two-day event is broken into two sessions to allow for COVID protocols and procedures to be taken. Session 1 begins at 1 p.m. when (3A) Trinity Prep (2-4) takes on (7A) Osceola High School (5-3). Osceola is ranked 18th on MaxPreps.com in Class 7A.
Following that contest at 3 p.m. is the first matchup between two Orlando Sentinel Super 16 ranked teams. 10th-ranked (3A) Windermere Prep (9-4) goes against 2nd-ranked (7A) Oak Ridge High School (10-1). Oak Ridge is MaxPreps.com No.1 ranked team.
Session 2 begins with the 5 p.m. game between (3A) The Master's Academy (6-3) and Sentinel Super 16's14th-ranked (7A) Boone High School (9-5). The final matchup of the event and session at 7 p.m. is a "Super 16" Top 5 matchup between host (2A) OCP (12-0), ranked No.1, and 4th-ranked (7A) Windermere High School (9-3).

Due to COVID-19, the following policies have been established to allow for fans to safely arrive and watch games. Between games and sessions, event organizers will be cleaning bench areas prior to warmups.
* Fans cannot enter the gym until 15 minutes before the game.
* Fans will be required to wear a mask the ENTIRE time upon entering the gym.
* Fans will be temperature checked upon entry.
* Seating will be limited at the event operators discretion.
* Concessions will be available
* When the game is over, fans will need to exit the gym immediately so we can prepare for the next game.
* Tickets for Friday are $5.00 cash only.
*Tickets for Saturday will be $10.00 per session, $15 for both via ticket link.
