By Warriors win regionals earning return trip to Lakeland state semifinals

The OCP Boys Basketball team won their 25th game of the season and 45th consecutive game over the past season-and-a-half with a 57-44 victory over Central Florida Christian Academy (CFCA) in the Class 2A region 3 championship.

With the win the Warriors advanced to the state semifinals for the fifth consecutive season under head coach Treig Burke.  What's equally impressive is the 45 consecutive wins dating back to January 2020, which is the longest winning streak in Orlando-area boys basketball history, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

After defeating 3rd-ranked CFCA, The Warriors will face the 2nd-ranked Grandview Prep (Boca Raton) on Wednesday March 3 at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. Tip-off is scheduled for Noon and follows the other Class 2A semifinal matchup between Impact Christian Academy (Jacksonville) and Southwest Florida Christian (Fort Myers).
