After earning a bye, Warriors face 4-seed Holy Trinity

The OCP Warriors (8-1) concluded the regular season with 15-12 victory over Zephyrhills Christian Academy on November 5 to secure their 8th consecutive win and earned a 1-seed in Region 2 of the FHSAA Class 2A State Football Playoffs.

The top two seeded teams in the region earned a bye week for the Regional Quarterfinal round of the playoffs that took place on Friday November 12.  The 2-seed in the region happened to be Zephyrhills Christian. Earning the top seed also gives the Warriors "home field" throughout the regional games. CLICK HERE to see FHSAA 2A Playoff Bracket.

Our opening playoff game opponent will be 4-seed Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers (Melbourne), who defeated 5-seed Orangewood Christian 37-29 on Friday night.

The Tigers trailed by 13 points in the ballgame before scoring 20 unanswered led by senior quarterback Ty Englehart, who was 16-23, 281 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT in the game. His primary target was freshman Nicholas Teeter who caught seven passes for 174 yards and three TDs. Teeter had 232 all-purpose yards in the ballgame. Defensively, sophomore defensive lineman Nate Jennings had 11 tackles, three sacks and 6.5 TFL, along with an interception and blocked FG attempt that led to a score on the return.

Including Friday night's 8-point win, the Tigers are averaging 30 point margin in their victories.
