Orlando Christian Prep was established in 1960, however its sports program did not begin until the year 1998. Fielding soccer and basketball teams initially, the school adopted the Warriors mascot and donned royal, gold and white. In 2000, the program joined the FHSAA and began competing against fellow member schools. In most recent years ,the program has been blessed with tremendous success. Winning 7 state championships in basketball as well as two additional final four basketball appearances and one final four baseball appearance. The warriors athletic program has demonstrated it's ability to develop student athletes into champions. In 2014 the program was named Class 2A FACA sports program of the year as well as the FHSAA Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup Class 2A boys program of the year.

The 2018 season was a banner year for the entire Orlando Christian Prep football program. First the middle school team finished off the season with a State championship win over Foundation Academy. A few weeks later the high school team had their chance; The warriors won the State championship over defending 2x state champion St. Stephens Episcopal hosted at the Masters Acacdemy.
This is the first time in school history that either team has achieved such success. "We are extremely proud fo our football program. The coaches and players have worked so hard to achieve their goals set back in the summer." said OCP Athletic Director Treig Burke
The OCP middle school football team did the unthinkable last night at Janney Roofing Stadium. They won the SSAC football championship over Foundation Academy 24-8. The Team finished 6-1 this season. "I am very proud of our boys, we started the season with high expectations and the team delivered." said Head Coach Scott McIntyre.
In front of a packed stadium the team finished the first half tied 8-8. They came out in the second half and scored on their opening drive giving them a 16-8 lead. Then the defense took over, limiting Foundation to only four first downs the entire second half. Scoring again early in the fourth quarter making the lead 24-8.
"Great season for OCP football, I am proud of our kids and coaches. It means alot for this program; our middle school coaches implemented the same offense we run in high school. Our 8th graders will be ready to come in and contribute next season. They know our plays, they know our terminology. I am very proud of this team" said Varsity Head Coach Demosthenes. The middle school warriors outscored their opponents 204-74 this season.
